Speaker 1:Hi everyone, Welcome back to the final episode of season one of AI for Kids. I'm Amber Ivey, aka AI, your host, and today we're doing something a little different. It's just me here taking a moment to reflect on all the amazing things we've learned this season, the incredible guests we've had on and the exciting journey that we've been on together. This season, we've done about 30 episodes, including all the bonus episodes, and, honestly, could not have done it without you all. This season has been amazing, helping kids and, let's be honest, parents too understand the world of artificial intelligence. Ai is everywhere and it's changing the way we live, learn, play, but, most importantly, it's opening doors for you, you kids, to create, explore and dream big. So let's start with some of the highlights from this season.
Speaker 1:Over the season, we talked with so many inspiring guests. Remember Brian Carlson he shared about how AI can make storybooks interactive and fun with his app called Storytime AI. Or when Dr Randy Williams inspired us with her work on using robotics and AI to create bridges between communities and technology. And we can't forget Dr Jules White, who taught us that prompt engineering is like having a conversation with a super smart robot, making AI more accessible and fun for kids just like you. And we also had kids like you on the podcast as well. Jaden Lee showed us how AI can recommend positive news and bring smiles to people worldwide. And how can we forget Isan, the 11-year-old coding whiz, who's teaching kids around the world how to embrace technology and learn how to code? Every single guest brought something special to the show, and I hope you found a nugget of wisdom in each episode that made you even more curious, excited or maybe even inspired to try something new. Because, at the end of the day, this is what this podcast is for to help you understand AI and to help you be able to navigate this wild and crazy world that we're living in.
Speaker 1:So what have we learned about AI this season? First, we learned that AI is not magic. It's math, data and even problem solving. We saw how AI can be a powerful tool for good, helping with mental health, creating art and even making learning more exciting. We also learned that AI isn't perfect. It's only as good as the data is trained on. That's why it's so important for you, the next generation, to be part of building and improving these very important tools. Whether it's coding your first chatbot or simply asking questions like how does AI work, You're already taking steps to shape the future.
Speaker 1:As I told you all beforehand, please make sure you use AI only with a parent or a teacher. As a reminder, we talked about this this season as well. As a reminder, we talked about this this season as well. Ai does have concerns. A reminder AI is not a human. It is not your friend. It can behave like a human and make you think it's your friend, but at all times, you got to make sure you're doing the things that are innately for humans, like hanging around with real people, talking to people when you have problems, and not listening to an AI that's telling you something. That's bad. Again, only use it with a parent or teacher, and that will help out a lot with this. Remember, AI is still, in certain situations, being tested, working out its bugs, trying to learn, so we want to make sure that, if kids are using it, that you all are protected, no matter what. Technology is great, but my first and foremost mission is to make sure that you all interact with this in a safe way. That's why we always talk about guardrails and always talk about things you need to think about when using AI.
Speaker 1:As we wrap up this season, I want to leave you with a challenge. Think about one thing you've learned this season and try to put it in action Over the winter break. Maybe you can create a mini project like building a chatbot, or you'll teach a friend or family member about what AI can do. Maybe you'll even imagine your own AI tool to solve a problem in your community. Remember, it's all about dreaming big.
Speaker 1:Next season, we'll dive even deeper into the world of AI. We'll meet new guests, tackle new topics and continue exploring how you can be a part of this exciting world. And, who knows, maybe you could be a guest on the show one day, sharing your AI project with the world. And if you already have an AI project you're working on and you're a young person who wants to be on the show. Talk with your parents and contact us at contact at aidigitalescom. That's contact at A-I-D-I-G-I-T-A-L-E-S. We would love to have you on the show. You don't have to be an expert. If you have something cool that you're doing with AI or some project that you tested out, no matter how long you've been working in it, we would love to have you on. But make sure you get your parents' permission first.
Speaker 1:Guys, before I sign off, I just want to thank you to all of our amazing listeners for tuning in each episode, asking questions and being curious about the world around you. Speaker 1:I just want to say once again thank you all. So, so, so, so, so much. My dream was to stop talking about AI, only for adults to really talk to kids about this, because I do know this is going to change you all's lives and it's going to be a part of everything you all do going forward. I just want to make sure this is beneficial to every single listener and I just thank you for coming along with me on the journey. Well, guys, that's it for season one of the AI for Kids podcast. Thank you for being part of this incredible journey.

Also want to make sure you remain curious and a kid at heart, and making sure you don't lose that curiosity and creativity that all of us adults wish we still had at the level that you all do.
